AMS Suspension Stage 0 (SP0)

The AMS SP0 package is a basic starting point for suspension upgrades. This package will utilize your factory struts and springs and improve handling via a Whiteline Bump Steer Correction Kit and improved alignment.

Whiteline Bump Steer Correction Kit:

The Whiteline Bump Steer Correction Kit will help eliminate some of the understeer the EVO exhibits on mid corner and corner EXIT. From the factory the rear suspension geometry promotes toe-in under compression. Maximum compression takes place at mid corner and corner EXIT, just where the EVO tends to under steer. The rear bump steer correction kit lets the rear toe geometry stay neutral instead of going to toe-in under compression, letting the rear of the car move a little easier under mid corner & exit throttle conditions.

Alignment Settings

Beginner to Intermediate driver

•   Front Toe – zero
•   Front Camber -2.0 deg (max neg camber on stock offset bolts)
•   Rear Toe – 1/16” in
•   Rear Camber -1.25 deg

Experienced driver

•   Front Toe – 1/16” to 1/8” toe out (please be aware that toe out on the front will let the car wander a little on the road)
•   Front Camber – 2 deg (more neg front toe makes the front more darty but improves turn-in & cornering characteristics of the car)
•   Rear Toe - Zero to 1/32” toe out
•   Rear Camber -1.5 deg (zero toe or slight toe out lets the rear of the car move around a little more but improves mid-corner and especially corner exit handling characteristics of the EVO. This will increase the tendency of the car to oversteer, recommended for experienced drivers.)
