 AMS Suspension Stage 1 (SP1)
AMS Suspension Stage 1 (SP1)
The AMS Suspension SP1 is designged to maximize your factory suspension without replacing the stock springs or struts. This package is great even for beginners allowing you to explore the limits of the car without the dangers of snappy & twitchy handling. This package will require an alignment after installation.

The AMS SP1 Kit includes:
 • Whiteline front Roll Center Adjust kit
 • AMS Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
 • Whiteline Front Control Arm Bushings W0593
 • Whiteline Rear Sway Bar 22mm adjustable (24mm adjustable optional)
 • Optional Whiteline Rear Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Links (eliminates sway bar pre-load)
 • Optional Noltec front camber plates (From -2.0 to -2.5 deg track/street, or -3 to -3.5deg for track use)

The RCA kit helps the camber curve under compression. The front end loses camber under compression because of the angle of the control arm. The RCA kit changes the roll center to improve handling. The optional Noltec Front Camber Plates allow more negative camber (max negative camber is -1.9 to -2.0deg via stock front camber bolts) adding even more front grip.

The Whiteline Rear Sway Bar increases rate of load transfer on the rear, increases roll resistance, and will allow the rear of the car to rotate under cornering. In addition the rear sway bar is adjustable to change the balance of the car to the users preference. The HD adjustable sway bar end links are recommended to ensure there is no sway bar pre-load.

Alignment Settings:

SP1 with no camber plates

Beginner to Intermediate driver
 • Front Toe – zero
 • Front Camber -2.0 deg (max neg camber on stock offset bolts)
 • Rear Toe – 1/16” in
 • Rear Camber -1.25 deg

 Experienced driver
 • Front Toe – 1/16” to 1/8” toe out (more neg front toe makes the front more darty but improves turn-in & cornering characteristics of the car)
 • Front Camber – 2 deg
 • Rear Toe - Zero to 1/32” toe out
 • Rear Camber -1.5 deg (zero toe or slight toe out allows the rear of the car to rotate improving mid-corner and especially corner exit handling characteristics of the EVO. This will increase the tendency of the car to oversteer, recommended for experienced drivers.)

SP1 With Camber Plates

Beginner to Intermediate driver
 • Front Toe – zero
 • Front Camber -2.25 deg for mild street/track day, and -3.0 deg for street/track day (this can accelerate tire wear if car heavily used as a daily driver)
 • Rear Toe – 1/16” in
 • Rear Camber -1.25 deg

Experienced driver *occasional street driving (<5K miles per year) and track day use
 • Front Toe – 1/16” to 1/8” toe out
 • Front Camber -3.5 deg front camber
 • Rear Toe - Zero to 1/32” toe out
 • Rear Camber -1.5 deg (zero toe or slight toe out lets the rear of the car move around a little more but improves mid-corner and especially corner exit handling characteristics of the EVO. This will increase the tendency of the car to oversteer, recommended only for experienced drivers.)

NOTE: The car must be re-aligned after installation of roll center adjust kit
