Shepherd Racing offers three different variations of transfer cases for the Mitsubishi Evo VIII/IX. There is the Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 transfer case upgrade.

Features

Stage 1

This is a brand new transfer case we take and make any shimming adjustments needed to keep it quiet and handle more power. Stage 1 not available for Active Center Differential transfer case.

Stage 2

This is a brand new transfer case we take and make any shimming adjustments needed to keep it quiet and handle more power. This new transfer case also includes a Mitsubishi Rally Sport limited slip differential.

Option - $325 Active Center Differential transfer case

Stage 3

For those wanting more traction and improved reliability we take a factory new transfer case and install a Quaife limited slip differential and reshim the transfer case. We feel the Quaife is the strongest available helical LSD for the EVO. On this upgrade we also upgrade the front differential cover bolts from 8mm to 10mm bolts and now add Heli-Coils to prevent side cover deflection and bolt pullout which allows a poor contact patch and failure of the ring and pinion.
