Job Mission

Storytelling is not only an artform, but a key element to any successful marketing strategy in the modern digital spaces we find ourselves today. This is why the Marketing Specialist role is crucial in the AMS Performance marketing department as you will be presenting our brand in a professional and strategic manner to the public. The perfect candidate for this position has a passion for using their wordsmithing and storytelling skills to effectively deliver a digital message, and will be enthusiastic, flexible, and inventive. While you will have the opportunity to continue to develop and refine your craft in an environment that encourages creativity and experimentation, you should bring an established voice/aesthetic that fits our existing brand identity. During your day, you will be working in a collaborative environment identifying, creating, and delivering relevant content to our current and future customers to a diverse range of social media platforms, assisting with development and execution of marketing strategies specifically tailored to each platform and product we launch, aiding in the creation and coordination of campaigns [social, email, etc.] that align with our sales team’s efforts to ensure success, crafting press releases and other blog content, and much more. We are looking for a candidate who is well-spoken, creative, and has experience creating and implementing marketing campaigns that accompany sales efforts. Our goal is to make sure that our marketing efforts add the maximum value to our company and are central to the success of our business.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Write engaging and creative marketing copy for product descriptions, social media posts, email blasts, etc.
  • Draft compelling social media posts for review and subsequent public posting
  • Strategic social media calendar administration
  • Facilitate outbound e-mail campaigns for newsletters and new product announcements
  • Generate SEO material as AMS blog posts from concept to publication
  • Interact with fans via our social media pages in a friendly, authentic, and professional manner
  • Monitor and moderate social media pages, Facebook groups, YouTube comments, etc.
  • Review social media tags/mentions for shareable content
  • Media file organization and archiving for future marketing use
  • Light web development (page edits & updates, e-commerce listings, etc.)
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required by the marketing department

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years experience in the automotive aftermarket industry preferred
  • General understanding of motorsports, performance modification, mechanical knowledge, etc. is required
  • Excellent communication skills and engaging, creative, high-level copywriting
  • Demonstrable social media management at a professional level and ability to create social media posts from concept to publication
  • Proficiency working in a digital environment. Practical knowledge working with WordPress, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google software, Adobe Creative Cloud [Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere], etc. a plus
  • WordPress/Elementor/WooCommerce web dev experience preferred
  • Ability to create photo, video, and/or graphic design content for web or social media preferred
  • Effective paid digital ad creation and optimizing paid ad ROI experience preferred
  • Ability to travel (5%)
