Job Mission

This customer-facing, online-focused, Digital Account Executive will drive our next level of success by delivering profitable new business through direct-to-consumer sales in-house, across the country, and abroad. You will be acting as the voice of AMS Performance and the official representative of the company in various online settings, providing the community with technical write-ups, new product releases, and sharing other media created by yourself or the AMS Marketing Department. This position requires a commitment to becoming entrenched within the vehicle owner communities for the platforms that we support, through various channels, including your own social media presence, automotive forums, FB groups, etc. We are looking for someone with relevant sales experience that will allow them to be successful selling everything from simple individual parts all the way up to quarter million dollar packages for clients seeking premium vehicle builds with proven performance.


Key Competencies

Expertise – Learning the technical details of the AMS product lines in order to educate our customers and to answer questions they may have quickly and accurately online, via email, on the phone, and in-house at AMS.
Digital Aptitude – Utilizes the internet to hunt for new clients. Maintains a curated personal online social media presence and is comfortable navigating online communities and platforms, e.g. automotive forums, FB groups, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
Entrepreneurial – Takes initiative, sees and acts on opportunities, is persistent when seeking information that allows them to overcome obstacles.
Customer Focus – Acts with customer’s best interest in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust & respect.
Listening – Practices attentive and active listening. Gains a good understanding of each client’s needs through probing questions, clarifying questions, and confirmation questions.
Organizing – Can handle multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, uses resources effectively, arranges information in a useful manner for customers to clearly understand their options.
Communication – Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeaner to interact with clients in a genuine and authentic manner.

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses a combination of technical, automotive aftermarket, customer service, and retail sales experience.

  • 3-5+ years of sales experience
  • 3-5+ years performance automotive expertise
