We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in furthering their fabrication skillset. You will be given the chance to shadow and train with some of our Production Welders and Motorsports Fabricators where you will fit and weld full assemblies. High performing candidates can expect to take on more challenging work and eventually advance in our ranks to become a full time Production Welder. You might be a good candidate if you’ve practiced welding and found that you catch on quickly, or if you’ve recently completed a technical school for welding. We will help you take your foundation of welding skills and help build you into a top tier automotive fabricator. Learn new skills with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get your foot in the door training for a career in motorsports metal fabrication.
First 30 Days: Train/shadow with our Production Welders to learn welding techniques, measuring and cutting materials, cleaning and prepping of parts, and other metalwork skills. You will learn our standard operating procedures and familiarize yourself with the equipment in our shop.
Months 2-6: Continue your training with hands on practice, further your development of welding techniques on stainless and aluminum, focus on consistency, start to work on constructing beginner assemblies in a controlled environment.
Months 6-24: Continue training and progressively take on more challenging product manufacturing, focusing on efficiency and consistency. Once ready, you will advance from an apprentice to a Production Welder position.
Years 2+: As a Production Welder, you will start working on our most challenging products such as turbo kits and intake manifolds, learn how to build jigs for production parts, and start custom fabrication projects on shop and customer vehicles. Once ready, your advanced fabrication knowledge will allow you to begin working with engineering during the development phase to produce new AMS parts.
Attention to Detail – Finds problems, before they become problems. Scrutinizes components to identify potential assembly errors or mechanical issues with products during manufacturing.
Organization – Can handle multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, uses resources effectively, arranges information in a useful manner.

Expertise – Understands the value of high-quality fabrication and manufacturing best practices. Has a desire to build these skillsets over time with hands-on experience.
Experience & Qualifications
- Basic welding and/or metal fabrication experience.
- Physically able to lift and carry heavy and bulky components short distances.
- Past Experience operating equipment like band saws, drill presses, etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of motorsports, cars, or performance modification is preferred. This experience does not have to be in a professional setting.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
