For Throwback Thursday this week, we look back a little more than two years to DCT World Cup 2023 🏆 This pass marked Dave’s first 6 second pass with Wally, an R35 GT-R built to honor Dave’s late father with one goal in mind: Run a 6 second pass while staying GTR68 class legal 👨⚖️
After more than a handful of 7.0X passes, it finally happened. 6.97 at 209mph ⏱️ Not only did Dave accomplish his own personal goal, but in doing so became the very first stock location 68mm GT-R to run a 6 second pass 🥇 Wally remained the only one to do so for more than two years until the GTR68 finals at this year’s TX2K. Propelled by a .05 reaction time, Dave was able to take the win over @gtr_raceher, joining the club with a 6.78 of her own 🏎️💨
Fast forward to present day, the team is putting in work to have the car ready for World Cup Finals – Import vs. Domestic 🚗🚙 Making a number of changes to the setup in the endless pursuit of a faster time. WCF gets underway just 146 days from now, the clock’s ticking ⌛️
