Robert “Bobby” brought his Alpha 10 2019 Infiniti Q60 back to AMS Performance to see how much more it could do. AMS Build Specialist Brandon Deam explains the fuel system upgrade that pushed it to 1,135 WHP and 800 lb-ft, the most powerful VR30 ever recorded. He also covers the weight reduction and chassis work done to get that power down at the track.
Before Bobby left, he told us he wanted to run an 8.5 or better. At a shootout in Ohio that weekend, he ran an 8.48 at 162 MPH. That’s the world record for the quickest VR30-powered car in the quarter mile.
