650+whp on E85 for Shakeel’s Q50 🌽⛽️📈
Shakeel brought us his Q50 to diagnose and address a few concerns, as well as add a few AMS Performance parts 👨🔧 What started as a few small upgrades evolved into much more! The ole “while you’re in there…” 💬
With the diagnostics taken care of and initial concerns addressed, it was time to get to the fun stuff, making power 🏎️💨 Moving forward and checking items off the list, we ran into a roadblock 🛑 We discovered the turbo wastegates needed to be adjusted. Upon further investigation, we presented Shakeel with three unique paths forward 🛣️ Keeping in mind downtime, cost, as well as risk vs. reward. After being presented with our findings and the options, Shakeel elected to go with a pair of upgraded turbos, the VRX70s from Z1 Motorsports 🐌
With the new turbos installed, Shakeel’s Q50 was ready to make the jam 🍇 On top of the turbo upgrade, we also installed our new 80mm Intakes as well as our Stage 3 Direct Injectors ⛽️💉 But wait, there’s more! This vehicle also features quite the list of AMS Performance parts, with upgrades to the cooling system, fueling system, and much more! All parts installed and we’re ready for tuning 👨💻 As you can see here, the vehicle made just over 650whp on our in-house hub dyno, which equates to right about 700whp on a Dynojet 📈 With all concerns addressed and a healthy power figure, Shakeel can have peace of mind this Q50 will continue to provide many more miles of smiles for the foreseeable future!
