GTX55 Stainless Steel 1.24 A/R turbine housing is designed for drag racing enthusiasts. The inlet and outlet connection points are V-band and compatible with GTX5533R Gen I and Gen II, as well as GTX5544R Gen II turbos. These are most commonly used on Radial vs World and Pro Mod drag race classes which represent the fastest turbocharged cars in the world.
The GTX55 Stainless Steel housing comes standard with two 3/8”, Grade 5, cross bolts are installed perpendicular to each other in the turbine housing outlet to prevent material escape in the event of a catastrophic failure. This provides crew members, spectators, and drivers an additional level of safety no other turbocharger manufacturer offers as a standard feature on non-SFI certified housings.
Available in non-SFI and SFI certified, The Garrett GTX55 turbine housings meet the regulations of sanctioned drag racing series like NHRA Pro Mod.
