Nissan Z ALPHA 5 Performance Package

When we first drove our new Nissan Z, we knew there was massive potential for improvement. Our team immediately set to work developing the most comprehensive performance package on the market, made to spec with E85 ethanol fuel in mind. With the ALPHA 5 Performance Package for the Nissan Z, we have developed the perfect combination of intake, exhaust, cooling, and fuel system modifications, allowing your Z to achieve an incredible 500 horsepower output. The ALPHA 5 Performance Package is a true Flex Fuel compatible system, and the parts list has been custom tailored specifically for use with E85 ethanol fuel, readily available from many gas stations across the country. This fuel selection allows for higher performance due to its higher octane rating and cooling properties compared to your standard 93 octane pump gasoline. All of the parts within the ALPHA 5 package have been selected to deliver the highest performing and most reliable vehicle possible. Choosing Your ALPHA 5 Package Configuration

The ALPHA 5 package is available with your selection of components, so you can tailor it to how you actually drive the car. Both downpipe options use full 3″ mandrel bent stainless steel construction, but they serve very different builds. The Race (catless) Lower Downpipes are designed for off-highway competition vehicles only. If your Z is a dedicated track or race car, this is the path to maximum exhaust flow and the highest horsepower ceiling the package can offer. For everyone else, the Street (catted) Lower Downpipes are the correct choice. Featuring GESI G-Sport catalytic converters rated to 850 HP each, they are EPA compliant and deliver a genuine performance upgrade without sacrificing compliance or daily drivability.

On the intake side, the Cold Air Intake keeps things clean and consistent with a closed airbox that pulls fresh air in from the front bumper, shielding the filters from engine bay heat and requiring no ECU calibration to install. The 80mm Air Intakes open things up with the largest diameter piping and MAF housings available for the VR30, and have been known to average around 10 additional WHP over the Cold Air Intake when tuned. Choose the Street downpipes and/or Cold Air Intake and you’ll still see a serious gain over stock, with a setup that’s built to live on the road.

With the ALPHA 5 package installed with our in-house AMS ECU Calibration we generally see, at minimum, 490 WHP and 490 lb-ft of torque when configured with Race Lower Downpipes and the 80mm Air Intakes, measured on our Dynojet 424xLC2 Dynamometer. Power output may vary depending on many factors including, but not limited to, parts selection, altitude, temperature, fuel octane, engine tolerances, tune, and dyno used. Performance numbers aren’t guaranteed but are common results seen by our customers. Quarter mile times, 0-60 mph, 60-130 mph and other recorded times are approximate and can vary significantly depending on numerous factors such as ambient temperature, elevation, tire selection, road surface material, fuel octane and quality, transmission selection, and vehicle weight, among many others. The advertised numbers herein are based on optimal conditions and utilizing proper supporting modifications, but are generally attainable results by an average customer. Your results may vary.
