This product is designed for installation on a race-only vehicle, defined as a vehicle that is used exclusively for competition and that cannot be licensed or registered for use on the public roads and highways within the United States. This product is not available for sale on emissions-controlled vehicles within the United States without a completed AMS Race Waiver form. International users outside of the United States should act in accordance with their local laws and regulations.
With 25 years of documented research and development in the forced induction field, AMS Performance has proven itself as the powerhouse in the automotive aftermarket. Our award winning performance systems are what all others are measured by.
The ALPHA 5 is where the VR30 stops being a quick luxury sedan. This is the full bolt-on e85 build, what most VR30 owners just call FBO. Around 500 wheel horsepower and 500 lb-ft on e85, still spinning the factory turbochargers, from a package that finally gives the engine the fuel it can use and the exhaust path it never had.
Flex fuel is the foundation. A CAN bus kit measures ethanol content in real time and the calibration blends between its pump gas and e85 maps, so the car adapts to what is in the tank instead of the other way around. A Stage 1 high pressure pump and a drop-in low pressure pump handle the fuel side, and lower downpipes and a cat back exhaust open the path from the factory upper section rearward.
Take the car to your favorite speed shop for install and let your preferred tuner write the file, or contact us for a complete turnkey solution, installed by our technicians and calibrated by the team that has been developing VR30 tunes since the platform launched. Either path puts the same engineering on your car. The calibration is what turns it into 500 wheel horsepower, so plan for it and the ALPHA 5 delivers exactly what it promises.

Most companies design a part to fit the space. The SnailWorks Engineering Team designs to dominate it. The ALPHA 5 was developed as one system rather than a parts list, because fuel delivery, exhaust flow and intake temperature each set a ceiling on the others. Solve one and the next becomes the limit. The high pressure pump was sized against measured demand at around 500 wheel horsepower on e85 rather than picked from a catalog. Mandrel bent stainless steel piping keeps exhaust gas moving instead of creating backpressure. The heat exchanger keeps intake temperatures where the calibration expects them, pull after pull. Every piece was validated together on our own dyno, on the platform we have been calibrating since the VR30 launched. That is the difference between a part that fits and a part that performs.
The ALPHA 5 builds straight on top of the ALPHA 4. The intake, lower downpipes and heat exchanger are the same hardware, so nothing you already bought gets thrown away. From here, the ALPHA 6 goes further into the exhaust and the fuel system components to safely run upgraded turbos.
