The AMS Performance Inline Fuel Pulsation Damper is the solution to unwanted fuel system noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) caused by fuel line hammering in high-performance applications. Engineered to minimize or eliminate pressure spikes in the fuel system, this damper features a high-flow stainless steel internal valve specifically designed to work with high-pressure fuel pumps. It utilizes a durable billet 6061 aluminum body with a fully anodized gloss black finish for long-lasting performance and a clean look. Available with an inline -6AN male inlet and -6AN ORB outlet, or a 5/16 Quick Connect Inlet and -6AN ORB outlet, it’s easy to integrate into existing setups and is a direct bolt-in solution for AMS VR30DDTT fuel system-equipped vehicles. The AMS Inline Fuel Pulsation Damper offers a reliable, long-term solution for stabilizing fuel delivery and eliminating fuel line NVH at idle, under load, or across various RPM ranges.
Fuel line hammering, also known as fuel pulsation NVH, or fuel line knock, is a rhythmic ticking or knocking noise caused by pressure spikes within the fuel system. These spikes are often the result of the rapid opening and closing of fuel injectors or the operation of a high-pressure fuel pump, both of which can generate shock waves that resonate through the fuel lines. This issue can occur at idle or become more pronounced at certain RPMs, depending on engine load and fuel system components and plumbing. It’s particularly common in high-performance modified setups where fuel flow dynamics are more aggressive. Symptoms may include audible noise, fluctuating fuel pressure readings, and potentially increased stress on fuel system components. The AMS Performance Inline Fuel Pulsation Damper is specifically engineered to absorb these pressure pulses, reducing noise, stabilizing fuel pressure, and promoting smoother, more consistent engine performance.
