Job Mission:

Responsible for assembling finished products for the Kitting Department. The Kitting Department is responsible for the following:

 

Building and assembling kits

  • Receive items and build assembly ticket from Inventory Clerk
  • Check to make sure all items are included, and counts are accurate
  • Assemble, pack, seal, and labels products
  • Bring finished product to Inventory Clerk
  • Confers and corresponds with manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
  • Performs inventory of equipment, raw material and fluids required for assembly
  • Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, processes, efficiency and service
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

 

Quality Control

  • Assist with inspecting inventory upon receiving shipments
  • Measure dimensions on a random sample of each shipment to ensure components conform to our standards
  • Assist with annual inventory count, one weekend per year

Job Mission:

Responsible for helping maintain proper inventory levels, keeping inventory organized, and ensuring the flow of inventory is correct between departments. The inventory clerk is responsible for the following:

-Distributing Inventory (~20 Hours/Week)

-Work with Inventory Manager & Production Manager to ensure that both teams have the inventory required to complete assemblies

-Work with Shop Manager to ensure parts used in custom builds are accurately accounted for

-Maintaining Accurate Inventory Levels (~15 Hours/Week):

-Perform cycle counts every week

-Perform a full physical inventory count once per year (requires 1 weekend per year)

-Help keep raw material and finished good inventory organized

-Receiving Inventory & QC (~5 Hours/Week)

-Unpack and inspect received inventory for damage & accuracy

-Check parts for quality

-Document any issues and communicate them to the Purchasing Manager

-Place Inventory into warehouse

Welder Apprentice

Welder Apprentice Program

 

This is the opportunity you’ve been looking for! Come work for one of the most renowned performance parts manufacturers in motorsports, while learning new skills and training for a career in metal fabrication. It is a great chance to get your foot in the door if you want to be on a winning team that always stays one step ahead of the competition.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in furthering their fabrication skillset. You will be given the chance to shadow and train with some of our Production Welders and Motorsports Fabricators where you will fit and weld full assemblies. High performing candidates can expect to take on more challenging work and eventually advance in our ranks to become a full time Production Welder, and with time, Motorsports Fabricator.

Apprentice Roadmap:

First 30 Days:  Train/shadow with our Production Welders and Motorsports Fabricators to learn welding techniques, measuring and cutting materials, cleaning and prepping of parts, and other metalwork skills. You will learn our standard operating procedures and familiarize yourself with the equipment in our shop.

Months 2-6:  Continue your training with hands on practice, further your development of welding techniques on stainless and aluminum, focus on consistency, start to work on constructing beginner assemblies in a controlled environment.

Months 6-24:  Continue training and progressively take on more challenging product manufacturing, focusing on efficiency and consistency. Once ready, you will advance from an apprentice to Production Welder position.

Year 2-3:  As a Production Welder, you will start working on our most challenging products (such as turbo kits), start learning how to build jigs, start custom fabrication projects on cars

Years 3+:  Fully capable of producing our entire product line, building jigs for production parts, work with engineering to produce new parts, producing custom turbo kits. Once ready, you will advance to our most senior position in the fabrication department, a Motorsports Fabricator.

You might be a good candidate if you’ve practiced welding and found that you catch on quickly, or if you’ve recently completed a technical school for welding. We will help you take your foundation of welding skills and help build you into a top tier motorsports fabricator.

Specific qualifications or Requirements


  • Proficiency in TIG & MIG welding as well as knowledge of material properties (Aluminum and Steel less Steel & Alloys). Development of welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining appropriate welding techniques.  Minimum 5 years
  • Ability to read  engineering plans and/or CAD drawings, identify project feasibility and trouble shoot.
  • Ability to use and maintain basic shop equipment (i.e. mills, lathes, tubing benders, slip rolls, shears, plasma cutters, band saws, cold saws).
  • Experience and training in the automotive field with excellent understanding of automotive mechanical systems.  Ability to perform actual work on cars (i.e. build, install, and test fit parts) a plus.  Experience in race car team environment major plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Motorsports Technician

Responsibilities

  • Technician will cater to the specific needs of each build order efficiently and accurately. This must be done within AMS/Alpha performance requirements.
  • The ideal technician candidate must be able to diagnose malfunctions, as well as perform the necessary repairs for them.
  • Mechanic will perform vehicle repairs within their current capability/skill level.
  • In depth examination of any vehicle under current supervision, to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended.
  • Clearly documents and records work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when the above adjustments and additional work is needed.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician / service manager.
  • Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service manager.
  • Attend race events 2-3x per year and support customer race cars

Qualifications or Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
  • A valid driver’s license
