  • Ability to use and maintain basic shop equipment (i.e. mills, lathes, tubing benders, slip rolls, shears, plasma cutters, band saws, cold saws)
  • Experience and training in the automotive field with excellent understanding of automotive mechanical systems
  • Valid Driver’s License

Shop hand Wanted

In this position you will basically be in charge of keeping the shops clean, strapping cars on the dynos, cleaning engine parts, running errands, and a lot of miscellaneous tasks. The great thing about the position is it’s a way into AMS and if it seems like you would fit well in another department moving up would be very likely! Many of the senior AMS staff started out in the automotive industry as shop hands. We are looking for someone who is positive, knows at least the basics when it comes to cars, has common sense, can multi-task without forgetting things, and someone who is organized and can complete tasks in a timely fashion. Motorsports Technician Wanted

High Performance / Motorsport Technician

Proficiency in the ability to work efficiently and effectively to ensure all repairs and builds are completed to our highest standards. You must be a team player, and work well with others. Responsibilities

  • Technician will cater to the specific needs of each build order efficiently and accurately. This must be done within AMS/Alpha performance requirements.
  • The ideal technician candidate must be able to diagnose malfunctions, as well as perform the necessary repairs for them.
  • Mechanic will perform vehicle repairs within their current capability/skill level.
  • In depth examination of any vehicle under current supervision, to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended.
  • Clearly documents and records work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when the above adjustments and additional work is needed.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician / service manager.
  • Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service manager.
  • Attend race events 2-3x per year and support customer race cars

Qualifications or Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
  • A valid driver’s license

Specific qualifications or Requirements


  • Proficiency in TIG & MIG welding as well as knowledge of material properties (Aluminum and Steel less Steel & Alloys). Development of welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining appropriate welding techniques.  Minimum 5 years
  • Ability to read  engineering plans and/or CAD drawings, identify project feasibility and trouble shoot.
  • Ability to use and maintain basic shop equipment (i.e. mills, lathes, tubing benders, slip rolls, shears, plasma cutters, band saws, cold saws).
  • Experience and training in the automotive field with excellent understanding of automotive mechanical systems.  Ability to perform actual work on cars (i.e. build, install, and test fit parts) a plus.  Experience in race car team environment major plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Accounting & Purchasing Data Entry Clerk Wanted

The Accounting & Purchasing Data Entry Clerk position is a unique position that will give you exposure to our accounting and purchasing team. You will work directly with the Purchasing Manager and the Accounting Manager to help with their day to day activities. This position will likely eventually move into the Accounting team or the Purchasing team full time.

Responsibilities

Accounting

Assists with company accounting functions (A/R, AP, reconciliations)
Assist in month end close process
Enter daily cash receipts
Support prepaid inventory tracking, review, and maintenance
Enter AP invoices
Filing and support the accounting workflow process improvements as required
Purchasing

Tracking open purchase orders – first internally and then with the vendor
Changing non-inventory parts into inventory items
Updating pricing in Quickbooks
Manually checking items for reorder such as shop and office supplies
Helping with returns/warranty items
Helping classify items (HTS Classifications) for importing goods
Creating new part numbers
Helping quote or source items for capital projects

Experience

· Min of 1-2 years of experience using Excel, Word, Abobe Suite, and ERP based systems

· Experience with QuickBooks preferred

· Some bookkeeping experience is preferred

Qualifications and/or Requirements

· Ability to multi-tasking and work in a fast-paced environment

· Microsoft Office and QuickBooks experience preferred

· Extreme attention to detail

· Passion for motorsports preferred

· R&D Purchasing for materials, samples, manufactured parts. Will include Vendor communication and PO tracking

· ERP system support. Bill of Material, part and assembly number, retail assembly creation.

· Engineering Change Order support and completion

· Market research for specific related development project, organization of information collected.

· Template creation and data organization

· Instructions book creating using tools such as InDesign, Word, PDF creators

· Hands on product inspection and QC support

· Directly assisting engineering teams on specific project, administrative related tasks, hand on and/or computer based

· Direct performance automotive experience, professional or personal a plus

· Must be comfortable within a rapidly developing and fluid environment. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment is a must

Experience

· Min of 1-2 years of experience using Excel, Word, Abobe Suite, and ERP based systems

· Experience with QuickBooks preferred

Qualifications and/or Requirements

· Ability to multi-tasking and work in a fast-paced environment
