We developed our AMS Performance V10 Ice Tank system to not only improve consistency and performance at the drag strip by allowing you to add a full 20lb bag of ice, but to also improve the thermal characteristics on the street or road course. With it’s 3.8 gallon coolant capacity, the AMS Ice Tank adds much needed thermal stability and allows your supercar to consistently make the same power over an extended period of time without heat soaking. The AMS Snailworks© Engineering Team has designed the AMS Performance Audi R8 / Lamborghini Huracan Ice Tank System to be a direct bolt-in install without hacking up your prized possession. Instead of creating a generic tank system that isn’t properly sized to fit the R8 and Huracan chassis, our team delivered a plug and play solution that mounts specifically inside the R8 and Huracan frunk and allows for a clean and refined installation. Utilizing a metal bulkhead plate to route water lines and a perfectly fit billet cap with quick release mechanism, our engineers have gone the extra mile to keep your supercar looking and performing like a supercar should.
Easy Filling with ALPHA Quick Cap
The AMS Snailworks© Engineering Team wanted to make sure the physical operation of the tank was as premium as possible, which is why they have integrated a quick release style locking mechanism in place of a traditional screw-in design. The ALPHA Quick Cap design allows for fast and reliable opening and closing when in the staging lanes at the track, making refilling the tank a breeze. The entire billet cap is anodized for scratch and corrosion resistance, and fitted with a custom sized o-ring for a perfect leak-free seal.
Metal Bulkhead Keeps Your Water Lines Routed Properly
Our team has designed not only an aesthetically pleasing bulkhead, but one that incorporates extra expansion ports for two additional feed and return lines depending on your water line routing needs. We’ve got you covered with 1″ water hose ports at the bulkhead and -10AN and -8AN ORB ports on the tank, so you can design your own custom solution to allow for multiple pumps, or to bypass heat exchangers altogether if desired.
Provisions for Optional Fire Suppression System
With extra space at a premium inside the R8 and Huracan frunk, our AMS Snailworks© Engineering Team knew they had to incorporate a mounting solution for customers wanting to run a fire suppression system. The 4 bolt holes on the top of the V10 Ice Tank have been designed to mount a SPA Technique 3lb bottle, available separately. Alternatively, if you are not utilizing a fire suppression system, these bolt locations can be used to mount our AMS V10 Ice Tank System logo plate, giving the system a finished and refined look.
